Terms of Service

1. Who we are

AlfaOne Journeys ("Journeys", "we", "us") is operated by Alfa Systems LLC, 30 N Gould St. Suite B, Sheridan WY 82801, USA, at transport.alfaone.app.

2. What Journeys is, and what it is not

2.1 Journeys is software. It lets independent transport operators ("Operators") publish their services, prices and availability, and accept bookings from their own customers ("Customers").

2.2 Journeys is not a transport provider, travel agent, tour operator or car rental company. We do not own, operate or control any vehicle, and we do not employ, supervise or direct any Operator, driver or guide.

2.3 Every booking is a contract between the Customer and the Operator only. Journeys is not a party to it.

2.4 Journeys takes no commission on fares. Operators set their own prices.

3. Operator obligations

By listing any service, the Operator confirms that it:

1. (a) holds all licences, permits and registrations required by law;
2. (b) holds valid insurance appropriate to every service listed, including passenger liability cover;
3. (c) uses roadworthy, registered and properly maintained vehicles;
4. (d) uses properly licensed drivers and suitably qualified guides;
5. (e) describes its services, prices and conditions accurately; and
6. (f) complies with all applicable laws, including transport, consumer protection, tax and data protection laws.

Operators are solely responsible for their services and any claim arising from them.

4. Packages where the Customer drives

4.1 Some Operators may offer packages in which the Customer drives the vehicle while accompanied ("Driving Experiences").

4.2 Before publishing a Driving Experience, the Operator must confirm that:

1. (a) its insurance covers the Customer as a driver, including holders of foreign or international licences where applicable;
2. (b) it will apply its insurer's minimum age, licence and experience requirements;
3. (c) it will verify each Customer's valid driving licence before the session; and
4. (d) it accepts full responsibility for the Driving Experience, including obtaining any waiver from the Customer.

4.3 Journeys does not verify insurance policies or licences and relies on the Operator's confirmation.

4.4 Customers must hold a valid licence recognised in the country concerned, follow the Operator's instructions, and obey local traffic laws.

5. Customer bookings

5.1 Prices, inclusions, cancellation rules and refunds are set by the Operator.

5.2 Complaints, refund requests and claims about a service must go to the Operator. We may help pass messages between the parties but have no obligation to resolve disputes.

6. Operator fees

6.1 Operators may use Journeys free for their first 20 bookings.

6.2 After that, Operators pay the fees shown on the platform, which may be a per-booking fee, a monthly subscription, or both. We give 30 days' notice of fee changes.

7. Limitation of liability

7.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Journeys is not liable for any injury, death, loss, damage, delay or cost arising from any Operator's services, including Driving Experiences.

7.2 Journeys is provided "as is", without any guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation.

7.3 Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the fees paid to Journeys by the relevant Operator in the 12 months before the claim.

7.4 Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Indemnity

Operators will indemnify Journeys, Alfa Systems LLC and its officers and staff against any claim, loss or cost arising from the Operator's services, vehicles, drivers, guides, insurance position or breach of these terms.

9. Suspension

We may suspend or remove any Operator or listing that we reasonably believe breaches these terms, is unsafe, or creates legal risk.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction.
